Danielle Makeysha Davis-Cherry aka SqueakBug was born on January 03, 1983 in Tarboro, North Carolina as the first baby at Edgecombe General Hospital of the incoming new year.
Danielle is the daughter of David A. Powell & Angela Davis-Williams. She transitioned into paradise the morning of August 08, 2025 surrounded by love ones.
Danielle was an avid student within The Edgecombe County Public Schools System along with Edgecombe Community College. She was recognized for receiving the Presidential Seal of Academic Achievement. She later pursued Beautician License for Hair & Nail Care.
Danielle left a lasting impression that impacted everyone she crossed paths with. She was unbreakable in the workforce and went after anything she wanted even if that meant working multiple jobs. With one of her delivery jobs, she became known as the DoorDash Queen.
Danielle worked hard so she could enjoy different things and travel with her family. Going on adventures with her childhood Sweetheart and two beautiful daughters were some of the highlights of her life.
Danielle specialized in family gatherings creating memories for the family to reflect back on. Family gatherings started from her late great-grandmother Sarah Beatrice Coley-Williams. Some of her most memorable moments were spent playing games in the family room on Sunday afternoons after preparing dinner through her love of cooking.
Danielle really let her light shine. No one can say they heard Danielle complain about her illness as she fought gracefully and victoriously. She said "I am so glad I don't have to worry about that", whereas she referred to being unloved and insecure. Instead, Danielle built upon her relationship with her Heavenly Father.
Danielle shared that love in ways that only she could with many people as possible. She would say, "GOD has a bigger purpose for me and I'm holding on to my FAITH". Breaking out of a bashful shell she spoke, cared for, encouraged and supported others during treatments / support groups.
Danielle was preceded in death by many great men and women that contributed to her life. This is just a small peep of her life and plenty we can continue to share as she leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving and devoted husband Demetric C. Cherry; two daughters, Chanel & Chantel Farmer; Mother, Angela Davis-Williams; farther, David A. Powell; bonus farther, Larry (Katherine) Harris, Sr.; siblings, Lindsey Davis, Larry (Cynthia) Harris, Jr., Jasmine Barrett, James Barrett and brother-In-love (Antwan) a very large host of aunts, uncles, cousin’s other relatives and friends.
